Mark Williams - Minister of Involvement
 |
Hometown: Born and raised in Akron, Ohio; currently raising a family in Westfield Township
Favorite Bible verse: I Timothy 4:11-15 "Command and teach these things. Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers."
Biblical character I align myself well with would be: Luke
Family: I am married to my amazing bride, Danielle ('90). God has blessed us with 3 wonderful children Allana ('92), Alex ('94), and Abby ('97).
I am: hopelessly devoted to serving HIM; a big guy (with a bigger heart); encouraging; uplifting; a meat and potatoes guy; always striving to live out the 9 aspects of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23); working hard to be the best husband and father.
I am not: a big sports fan; tiny; one who quits easily; dull.
What I like best about working at Northside: my family. Northside is made up those I love dearly, brothers and sisters that truly have my heart and my thoughts. I rejoice, I cry, I celebrate and I mourn with them. What I enjoy the most about working here is helping and guiding those to find their ministry; loving, teaching, guiding, mentoring the children through their life to have a stable foundation and understand the true relationship that Christ is expecting from them.

Ray Sanders - Minister of Adult Education

Hometown: I am a native Ohioan raised in Hubbard, just north of Youngstown.
Favorite Bible verse: Isaiah 40:28b-31 “The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (NLT)
Biblical character I align myself well with would be: Timothy
Family: While serving with my 2nd ministry in Livonia, Michigan, God gave me a 2nd chance to court & marry Cynthia (a friend I went to college with at KCC) on August 29, 1992. We have been blessed with three wonderful children, Emily (’94), David (’96), & Jonathan (’05).
I am: a student of the Word who loves to teach. My wife & I love to bowl in our church league together. I enjoy following most sports…especially the Ohio teams such as “The Ohio State Buckeyes”, Cleveland Browns & Indians as well as the Reds. Mostly, I enjoy being actively involved in the activities of my children that include going to the zoo or parks, school events, wrestling with my boys in the living room & taking one-day trips and vacations with my family. I also enjoy listening to Contemporary Christian & Country music as well as talk radio, sports talk radio in particular.
I am not: not flashy or stylish, but uniquely prepared to serve. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (NIV) What I like best about working at Northside: every day I get the opportunity to share this passion with others and lead them in what I have learned and experienced in the 20 plus years of ministry that our great God has allowed me to serve Him.

Biblical character I align myself well with would be: Joshua
Family: Whit and I have been married since July 06’ (woot, woot) and we love being around each other as much today as the day we met.

I am not: going to deny that my forehead is probably larger than your forehead (see picture at left).
What I like best about working at Northside: I help convey the Word of God to listeners that are craving truth. Just watching the change that enters into a person once they start giving God’s Word a try on a consistent basis, it’s a pretty cool thing.
