Worship Ministries
"God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and truth"
Every area of worship ministry at Northside Christian Church is governed by two principles: that we glorify God, and that we minister to people. In each area of ministry, we seek to worship and lift up the Lord. We seek to offer our best, not to glorify ourselves, but to glorify the Lord, and to point people toward Him, for it is the Lord Christ that we are serving. As we sing, play, and act to the best of our ability, our desire is to minister to people through music and drama. If you desire to serve in this type of ministry, please come join us!
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir is for anyone interested in praising the Lord and ministering to people through song. The choir occasionally presents songs of praise during our morning worship, as well as, presenting seasonal musicals. We rehearse most Sunday evenings during the school year. The group also offers a great opportunity for fellowship.
Orchestra
The Northside orchestra rehearses seasonally. This instrumental ensemble occasionally plays for morning worship, and also plays for our seasonal musicals. If you play an instrument and are interested in playing in the orchestra, this is the group for you.
Heavenbound
Heavenbound is our Jr. and Sr. High Choir. This is a great group of young people! This group of teens occasionally presents music for our morning worship and musicals. If you are in grades seven through twelve, and you have an interest in praising the Lord and ministering to people as you sing together, please join us.
Children's Choirs
We have two children's choirs, the Beatitudes and the King's Kids. The Beatitudes consist of four-year-olds through first graders, and the King's Kids of second graders through sixth graders. Both sing for morning worship once a month and present seasonal musicals. Scripture and Biblical truths are planted in their hearts as they learn to praise God in song and drama.
For more information about the Beatitudes, contact Deb Hoerger (330) 336-9205.
For more information about the King's Kids, contact Cathie Cooper, (330) 336-0609.
Drama
Throughout the year our drama ministry enhances our worship by providing challenging and thought-provoking skits. In addition to these skits, the drama ministry also participates in seasonal productions. For more information, contact Tom LeBay at (330) 468-0717
