Helping Hands Ministry Description
Our Mission: Is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our congregation and our community by reaching out with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
...Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:10-13.

Christian Action Response Team (CART) Volunteers serve members of the church and neighboring community who are in need of immediate help due to unfortunate or tragic circumstances. This service may include assistance with home maintenance or repairs, emergency cleanup, housecleaning, shopping, respite care, or any requested need. This group will also conduct benevolence drives in extreme cases.
Meal Preparation and Delivery This service is for individuals of NCC who are elderly, new mothers, or people facing an extended illness, injury, etc. We will make every effort to match volunteers with recipients who are in close proximity.
Transportation Ministry This group will organize and maintain a list of responsible and safety-conscious drivers willing to transport NCC individuals to Sunday worship, doctor appointments, grocery shopping, NCC activities, etc.
Military Support Ministry Helping Hands Ministry strives to keep in touch with and encourage NCC military service men and women and their families. This is done via telephone, letters and email to encourage and show our support. Occasionally, we will put together care packages for the men and women serving in the military oversees or for their families here at home.
Employment Network This service is for primary household income earners who are unemployed and seeking help in finding another job. Assistance includes creating a resume, how to network, practicing interview etiquette, and learning or updating basic computer skills. We are currently seeking volunteers to develop and grow this ministry.
Visitation Ministry Participate by visiting and encouraging NCC members and lonely community neighbors who are homebound, living in a nursing home or who are in the hospital.
