Adult Bible Studies & Support Groups for Elevation Fall ’08:
Old Testament Challenge Volume 1 - Creating a New Community, Life-Changing Stories from the Pentateuch: We long for community. Deep inside us, we yearn to connect with God and with those around us. That's not surprising—It's a reflection of God's own longing. Guiding you through the Pentateuch, this study reveals God's passionate desire for intimacy with His people and among His people. The Old Testament Challenge series is a high-impact tool for discovering the power and relevance of the Old Testament. This innovative series combines Bible study with an enjoyable, interactive format to help you experience God's Word as it really is: energetic, immediate, and life-transforming. Taught by Adam Prokop.
A Biblical Study on the Holy Spirit: As the energizer of your faith, the Holy Spirit wants to bring you into a transforming relationship with the Father. He wants to empower you to live an obedient, God-honoring life. In this study, participants will be guided through Scripture to a clearer understanding of what the Bible actually says about the Person and work of the Holy Spirit. Taught by

Men’s Diving Deeper: This men’s group will be doing a study entitled: “What Men Need to Hear.” This is a study Christian men cannot afford to miss. God needs spiritually strong leaders…leaders with the strength to stand when others fall, leaders with the strength to develop community, accountability, integrity, prosperity, purity, authority, and spirituality. This study will challenge men to accept this calling. Taught by Keith Givelekian
Women’s Bible Study—Reaching Higher: Experiencing Life at a Higher Level: Are you ready to take your life to the next level? Take a quick assessment. How would you rate your relationships, work, health, finances, and most important, your spiritual life? Knowing that there’s always room to grow, this study will help you jump start that next step of faith by focusing on what the Bible says about realizing your full potential and setting the bar a little higher as you focus on your goals, your dreams, and your identity as a beloved child of God. You’ll receive coaching in practical strategies that will equip you to grow, to change, and to become all God wants you to be. Facilitator Debra Marshall.
Adult Bible Fellowship Leadership Class: What is a disciple? Have you made any disciples lately? What does that even mean? If we are going to take Jesus’ words seriously, we must be in the business of disciple making. How does that happen? This 11 week class will look at the process of disciple making that occurs in the mid-size groups known as Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs). They aren’t just Sunday school classes. As Northside grows, the ABFs have taken on an important role in the process of disciple making. Are you involved in one? This class is for anyone who might be interested in helping lead an ABF. This is not just for those with the gift of teaching (although it is for them also). If you think you might be interested in helping lead the disciple-making process through the ABFs, come see what it’s all about. Study begins September 17th, 6:30-7:30pm.
Divorce Care/DC4K:The Divorce Care and Divorce Care 4 Kids group is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you and your child through one of life’s most difficult experiences. The group’s purpose is to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life. Both groups will run from 6:00-7:30pm beginning October 1st.
Grief Share: This group welcomes anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one through death. Grieving people from both Northside and the community are invited to participate. The next session will be October 8th from 6:00-8:00pm.
